NATIONAL MONUMENT
National Monument or “MONAS” as its popularity called, is a 132 meter tall monument with a gold-leaf flame on top, symbolizes the nation’s independence. The basement of the monument housed an exhibit of 48 dioramas depicting the history of Indonesia from prehistoric times to the present.

NATIONAL MUSEUM
The National Museum, built in the 17th century, has an enormous collection of ethnographic and archeological artifacts of Indonesia. It displays antique ceramics, statues, money, bronzes, gold and other cultural exhibits. (Monday & Public Holidays closed. Visit the National Monument instead)

TAMAN MINI INDONESIA INDAH
An extensive theme park set in over 160 hectares on the outskirts of Jakarta. It is Indonesia’s andswer to every visitor’s prayer to see the magnificent archipelago in just one day. All the Indonesian islands are realistically reproduced in miniature in a central lake and around the lake are traditional architectural style pavilions to represent the 26 provinces in Indonesia.

MUSEUM INDONESIA
A three story edifice, in traditional Balinese architecture. The museum houses a vast collection of Indonesian contemporary arts and crafts, i.e. traditional costumes from the various regions, puppets, masks, and daily life utensils.

BIRD PARK
A huge “two domes” bird park is home for more than 600 species of birds native to Indonesia. Walk through the wire domed aviary to see the colorful and freely singing birds.
